Accessibility
We want performers of every ability to be able to read about our programs and apply.
Our goal
We are working in good faith toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. That is a target we actively work toward, not a certification, and we do not claim the site is fully conformant today.
What we have done
- A skip link so keyboard users can jump straight to the main content.
- Semantic landmarks and a single, descriptive heading structure on every page.
- Visible focus outlines on every link, button and form control.
- Text and interface colors chosen for contrast against our dark theme.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images, and empty alt text for decorative ones.
- Layouts that reflow to 400% zoom and to small screens without horizontal scrolling.
- Labelled form fields with error messages announced to assistive technology.
- Reduced motion: animations and transitions are minimized when your system requests it.
Known limitations
- Some large display headings use tight tracking that may be harder to read at very small sizes.
- Content hosted by third parties, such as our Instagram and Facebook pages, is outside our control.
We are working on these and re-check the site as we make changes.
Need help, or another way to apply?
If any part of this site is hard to use, or if you would rather apply without using the online form, email dillonnthestudio@gmail.com with your name and the best way to reach you. We will help you complete an application by email and will accept the same information in whatever format works for you. Please include the page address and what happened, if you are reporting a problem.
We aim to respond to accessibility requests as quickly as we can, and we treat them as a priority.
